Who is Pro-Care?Pro-Care is a small, local, family-owned service company that serves the community in and around Nashville, Tennessee. The Pro-Care company is led by President John Browning and provides floor care for carpet, tile and grout, and natural stone as well as cleaning and protection for area rugs and upholstery.A Little History…In 1994 Nashville resident Jim Kilpatrick decided to establish a business to serve the community of Middle Tennessee. He chose carpet care because it was a sector of the service industry that required specialized training and trustworthy business practices to serve the public with excellence and integrity. In January 1995, Bridgepoint, a national distributor of carpet care products, opened a branch facility in Nashville. Mr. Kilpatrick created a five-year business plan and took the next five years to acquire the necessary equipment, supplies and certification through Bridgepoint. He also hired his first employee. In June of 1995, Pro-Care served its first customer and by the end of the year 2000, Pro-Care’s client list had grown to more than 800.Starting in the fourth year of operations, Mr. Kilpatrick began looking for the right person to take over Pro-Care’s leadership. At that time he met John R Browning, III who had recently established his own fledgling carpet care company. Mr. Browning had started Browning Carpet Cleaning Inc., in July of 1997, after growing up working in his father’s carpet care business. Browning purchased Pro-Care in February 1999, which allowed him to secure the experience of trained technicians as well as an established customer base. In Browning, Kilpatrick believed that he had found a leader who would practice the same high quality and honest business principles he himself had fostered since Pro-Care’s beginning. Kilpatrick served as a consultant to Pro-Care through the year 2000 but was confident at that point he was leaving the company in good hands.From Then to NowFor more than 25 years, John Browning has shepherded the growth and success of Pro-Care. He has built one of the most educated and experienced teams in the floor and textile care industry. At last count, his original customer pool of 800 has grown to over 21,000 strong.We are Pro-CarePro-Care has come to be recognized throughout the country as an excellent and organized service provider.
